Canadian Experience Class (Express Entry)
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is for skilled workers who have Canadian work experience and want to become permanent residents.
Eligibility Criteria for CEC
Canadian skilled work experience : At least 1 year of skilled work experience ( (or an equal amount of part-time work experience) gained on work permit status in Canada in last 3 years before you apply for CEC.
Skilled work experience means that you’ve worked in 1 or more of these NOC training, education, experience and responsibilities (TEER) categories TEER 0, TEER 1, TEER 2 and TEER 3.
Full-time work experience is considered 30 hours per week, with a total of 1560 working hours over a period of a minimum of 12 months. This experience has to be legal and with valid work authorization.
Self-employment and work experience gained while you were a full-time student (even if you were on a co-op work term) doesn’t count toward the minimum requirements for this program. Your skilled work experience must be paid work, including paid wages or earned commission.
Language Ability: You must take the approved language tests and meet the minimum score required.

Education: There is no education requirement for the Canadian Experience Class.
